Geoffrey has more than a decade of experience before international criminal courts.

Since January 2014 he has been acting as Co-Counsel for Assad Sabra before the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in the case of the assassination by terrorist bombing of the former Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri.

He has previously worked in teams of Defence lawyers defending suspects and accused including Naser Oric and Rasim Delic before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, Thomas Lubanga before the International Criminal Court and Ieng Sary before the Extraordinary Chambers at the Courts of Cambodia.  These cases have involved genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and international terrorism. He has been responsible for development of the jurisprudence, practice and procedure of the rights of the accused before the ICC, STL and ECCC having been involved from the initial stages of each of these Tribunals.

Geoffrey has also been actively involved in the Drafting Committee responsible for drafting a Statute for the International Criminal Court Bar Association.
